Battlelords of the 23rd Century Scenario

                               

Free being nation vehicles-

All FBN vehicles are constructed from salvaged vehicle parts and materials – they vary a great deal in the nature of construction and attributes – ranges are presented below.

 

Engines –

Petrol            Range varies – 400+D6x100 miles Speed – 40+2D6x10 mph

Electric          Range varies – 600+D4x100 miles Speed – 30+D8x10 mph

Nuclear          Range varies – 2D4 years Speed – 80+2D6x10 mph

Weapons -

Any Triax or generic black market weapons can be mounted on the vehicles; the number of mounts varies – D4 mounts on Flip buggies, 4D4 mounts on Caravans

‘melee’ weapons – a variety of vibro bladed spikes and blades are often fitted to these vehicles; each set of blades takes the place of a weapon mount and will do D6xD6MDC (1D6 MDC up to 6D6 MDC) plus speed damage (D6 additional MDC per 20 mph).  The vehicle takes half the impact damage.

Ram prow takes an additional weapon mount but halves damage from ram attacks and adds an additional 2D6 MDC to the front of the vehicle.

 

FBN Caravans –

Weight – varies – 5+3D6 tons

Size – varies – 30+4D6 ft long, 15+2D6 ft wide

-20% to engine speed and range

Main Body – 3D4x100 MDC

Caravans are designed to link into units, which can incorporate up to 15 vehicles; some giant weapon systems can share multiple mounts across caravans (including long range missile launchers and heavy artillery weapons)

 

FBN Flip Buggies –

Weight – varies – 300+6D6x10 lbs

Size – varies – 6+2D6 ft long, 3+D6 ft wide

+20% to engine speed and range

Main Body – 6D6x10 MDC

Flip buggies are highly manoeuvrable and get a +3 dodge bonus as well as being able to make tight turns and the flips which give them their name. A full speed leaping attack has a 85% chance of knocking down humanoid opponents (40% chance for characters up to 20ft, no chance for larger) and does 4D6 MDC.

 

All FBN vehicles are jury rigged on regular occasions to add weapons mounts, armour, soup up engines and energy weapons etc. all of which can be increased by 2D6x10% which will last for D6x10 minutes – after this time there is a cumulative 10% chance per minute that the enhanced element will fail and take 50% of the remaining armour/weapon damage etc.  i.e. a laser enhanced from 6D6 + 50% does 9D6 which lasts for 20 minutes will be reduced down to 3D6 damage once the percentile role is failed.  The vehicle/weapon will require D4 days of strip down & repair in order to restore it to normal operating conditions.

Most flip buggy pilots wear jet packs (many of which are souped up further!) in case things go wrong!!
